Dan is just about home =(

Well, I need to go and pack in a few minutes, perhaps try and get a few hours of sleep, I awoke this Thursday morning around 7am local time, which is about 8pm Wednesday Vancouver time, I will now be awake until Friday 10pm Vancouver time or so.... so I will be awake a very very very long time, thats like 48hrs =(, unless I can get some good sleep somewhere.

My last days and moments in Nairobi, Kenya are not without adventure, I started yesterday by going to the Giraffee Center (Rauchene and Justin had gone previously and mentioned it was a great place). At the Giraffee Center I was kissed by a Giraffee (well, I think it was more of a make-out session given how many times we 'did it' and how far it seemed like the Giraffees tongue came into contact with me ;)

After petting and kissing the Giraffee's I proceeded to do some last minute shopping, given the few tourists at the Masi market I made quite the system of bartering, I was a mean bastard for once, I had allot to buy and wasn't going to be gouged again and again.

After getting what I needed I then needed a 2nd suitcase to take it home in (I've amassed a small collection of African masks during my travels). I am hoping I won't be too far over the 32kg weight limit for business class, my flight from Mombassa I was already at 24kg =(.

After all then I headed to my final-good dinner at Carnivore, given its name, perhaps u can guess what sort of food I was instore for? ;) Carnivore has apparently been twice in the top 50 restaurants in the world. It is very much like Samba, guys bring meat, meat and more meat... (Exotic meat included Crocodile and Ostrich, no Cape Buffalo or Wilda beast =(). After gorging on food and not able to eat anymore I put my flag down and surrendered to the all mighty meat gods.

Today I went on a Nature walk at a local Nairobi National Park, which had sort of like a zoo, again given the complete lack of tourists I got a special treat, a staff member invited me into a cheetah cage where I got to pet and pose with the Cheetah!!!! At first I thought he was just getting me a good picture inviting me into the back, but then he opened the cage and said come on in!!! Luckily the Cheetah did not munchie munchie on me ;)

From there I visited a Elepheant Orphanage which takes abanded elephants and rehabilitates them, got to watch the elephants play and horse around with each other from only a few feet away and watch kids (elephant kids) be kids! It was quite fun indeed!

From here I pack and head home, I will see everyone soon!

BTW, once I arrive in Vancouver I will have been on 12 different flights, visited 3 countries, landed in 4 other countries and altogether spent 5 weeks away from the coldness of Vancouver =)

See you soon!

Dapper Dan
