Okay so I am off the dive boat now and visiting Palau! One more day here and the the Phillipines leg starts.
So how has it been, amazing, great, awesome!
The marathon plane travels to get me here quickly faded as the epic no sleep for 2 days made adjusting to Palau time seemingly easier, first few 6am wake up calls for first dive did hurt a bit ;)
I scored my own rom on the boat, no sharing is always a bonus.
Our first 2 dives were on Japanese wrecks, my first wreck dives, i became a fan immediatly. The remenance of the war still plays heavy on day to day sight seeing here. Wether it's the tons of sunken ships, old tanks, crashed airplanes, pill boxes on sides of islands seemingly no where or large caves where troops lived.
After that we proceeded to lots of other dives sites, I racked up 20+ dives in the few short days. Some of the definitely most memorable was the Manta Rays, this was another first for me. These guys must be the show offs of the ocean, they go in front of you and do these graceful loops, all while mumbling look at me chump, I can do loops, oh and look I'm doing another... What can you do... Oh look let me do another loop right in your face, that's right I'm doing loops what are you doing with your life? ;)
Many other great sea life to see underwater I think without question this was more sea life that Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Tons of sharks, the innocent fun to watch kind mom, no worries ;)
Due to Palau using the US postal service it was quite economical to ship my dive case back. The camera and setup did me well, no floods and some great photos I need to go through when I return ;)
Signing off for now.

It's proving difficult to embed the photos on the iPad, so head to Flickr directly for now.

A couple of photos you captured are National Geographic quality.
You are very kind, I need to process them all for white balance and then maybe I can submit to the dive company for a free trip, if its photo of the year ;)
Great pics, thx for sharingDdan !
