Hi Everyone,
Small quick update, I am currently in Zanzibar at the north end in Nungwi a small village with a few hotels along the north tip of Zanzibar, deep blue seas with deep blue skys, white sand, everything you could want.............. except the Sea Urchin my foot found this morning as I tried my first swim.
Last count was like 30 little prickly things in my foot, but the local women fixed me up with some papya and my prognosis is not to die, so its all good ;)
Tonight we are headed to a local full moon party, so tonight should be a fun blast for sure.
Zanzibar is great, very very hot, great people, great places to have a drink and watch the ocean and sunset!
I stayed overnight in the edge of Stone Town doing what everyone tells you not to do, arriving late by air (9pm ish) I discovered the airport was a bit smaller than I figured with no atm and I had not taken out money in Uganda knowing their shillings would be useless in Tanzania (different shillings), with no ATM in sight and no hotel booked I put faith in a random taxi driver to take me to an atm and to his choosing of hotel.......... All is good, faith in taxi drivers can be restored ;) The place I stayed was amazing and had A/C, which I needed for that first night ;)
I'll be here for serveral days doing snorkling, diving and spice tours, from there I am not sure......... Vic Falls or Mombasa... who knows ;)
